Lifting my head I could see two or three animals moving through the scrub and one big bull standing on a rock at about one hundred metres. He looked magnificent and the horn tips disappeared back into his mane. A quick shot and he was down. He was a beauty, with 9-inch thick bases and slightly over 13-inch horns.
Donald Bray’s skill had provided me with a top quality trophy. My lasting memory will be the stalk, as Bray’s patience, hard work and cunning had brought to us the rewards. I have nothing but respect for tahr and the hours spent talking to Donald Bray have increased that feeling. He admires them with a passion and can see huge potential, not just in their horns but also in their meat. He is a true hunter, tahr supporter and excellent guide.

Greg Morton, The Hunting Report

I have hunted Himalayan tahr with Donald Bray on three separate occasions over a three year period, and have enjoyed myself immensely on each challenging, but ultimately successful hunt. Donald has a well managed free range herd, which contains some very high quality trophy animals.
I have found Donald to be extremely knowledgeable about the hunting terrain and the quarry. He is also friendly, easy to get along with, and very honest. I would highly recommend Donald to any hunter keen to experience a true fair-chase New Zealand hunt.

When I booked with you I thought it was a once-in-a-life-time hunting trip BUT I enjoyed it rather too much so time and health permitting(must not forget Hazel's permission) I would like to come back in about 4-5 years time at which stage I will be 50.
